About the role

Optimum Care Group is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Boronia, Victoria. This casual position will involve providing high-quality care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

• Engaging clients in recreational and social activities to promote their wellbeing and community participation

• Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met in a person-centred manner

• Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support the delivery of care

• Collaborating with allied health professionals and the broader care team to coordinate holistic support

What we're looking for

• A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in Disability, Aged Care or Community Services

• Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families

• A genuine passion for empowering individuals with disabilities and a commitment to their wellbeing

• Adaptability and problem-solving skills to handle the diverse needs of clients

• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
