📣 We're Looking for a Welfare Officer!

Join Our Community Basketball Club

The Diamond Creek Basketball Club is seeking a compassionate, community minded Welfare Officer to support the wellbeing of our players, families, and volunteers.

About the Role

As our Welfare Officer, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone involved in the club. This role involves:

  • Providing a confidential point of contact for welfare or behavioural concerns

  • Supporting players and families with guidance and resources

  • Helping maintain a positive, respectful club culture

  • Assisting with implementing and upholding our Child Safety and Code of Conduct policies

  • Liaising with coaches, committee members, and coordinators when welfare issues arise

Who We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you are:

  • Passionate about youth wellbeing and safe sport

  • Able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion

  • Comfortable communicating with players, parents, and volunteers

  • Hold recognised child safety training or certificates, such as:

    • Child Safe Standards training

    • Safeguarding Children or equivalent accredited programs
