Direct Care Assistance (DCA), a leading NDIS service provider, is currently seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker, to deliver high-quality care to complex clients based in the Pearcedale, supporting them with a range of individual needs.
As a Support Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the client’s quality of life and overall well-being. This role requires commitment, reliability, and the ability to provide personalised care tailored to the client's specific and complex requirements.

Work Location: In person
Shifts: Mon to Fri, 8:30 am - 11:30am and 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

What are we looking for?
1-2 years experience supporting participants with complex health or disability support needs
Confidence in providing personal care and daily living support in a SIL environment
Minimum 1 year of experience supporting clients with Schizophrenia and Selective Mutism
Understanding of safe manual handling, infection control, and participant safety practices
Ability to remain calm, attentive, and responsive in changing support situations
Compassionate, respectful, and person-centred approach to care
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Reliable, professional, and committed to providing high-quality support services
What You'll be doing? (Essential Duties)
Provide person-centred support to participants living in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment
Assist with personal care tasks including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and daily living activities
Support participants with complex health conditions including selective mutism, neurological support needs, and mobility limitations
Monitor participant wellbeing and promptly respond to any health or behavioural concerns in line with care plans
Support medication routines and follow health management plans as instructed
Facilitate community access, appointments, and social participation
Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes, incident reporting, and shift handovers
