Job description:
Direct Care Assistance (DCA), a leading NDIS service provider, is currently seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker, to deliver high-quality care to one of our complex client based in Cheltenham. We are specifically looking for a Greek-speaking Support Worker who can effectively communicate with the client and provide culturally and linguistically appropriate support.
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in enhancing the client’s quality of life and overall wellbeing through personalised, person-centred care tailored to their individual needs. This role requires a high level of commitment, reliability, and the ability to support complex care requirements with professionalism and compassion.

Shifts: 24/7 shift (regular ongoing shift)

What are we looking for?
Minimum 1–2 years experience working within SIL, complex care, or high-intensity disability support settings
Ability to speak Greek or communicate effectively with Greek-speaking participants
Experience supporting participants with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), cognitive impairment, or complex communication needs
Experience with manual handling equipment including Sara Stedy transfers
Confidence assisting with full personal care, continence support, bowel care, and mobility support
Strong observation and communication skills with ability to recognise non-verbal cues and behavioural changes
Comfortable working active overnight shifts
Reliable, professional, and able to work consistently within a small support team
Medication Administration training/certificate preferred
What You'll be doing? (Essential Duties)
Providing high-quality support to a participant living in a SIL environment
Assisting with all aspects of personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, continence, and bowel care
Supporting safe transfers using Sara Stedy and other manual handling equipment
Assisting with medication administration in line with care plans and protocols
Supervising meals and supporting safe eating practices
Supporting communication using non-verbal communication strategies and communication aids
Promoting participant choice, dignity, routine, and independence
Working collaboratively with allied health professionals, coordinators, and internal teams
Maintaining a safe, clean, and clutter-free living environment
