We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our support team for a mature-aged male participant based in Tullamarine.

This role is for 2 shifts per week (Wednesday and Friday, 9:00am – 2:00pm), with potential for additional shifts and the opportunity to build a broader roster supporting other participants.

The participant enjoys a structured routine including community access, attending appointments, and engaging in activities such as watching movies. The role also includes light meal preparation and general household tidying as part of supporting daily routines.

This is a role focused on companionship, community access, domestic support, and assistance during outings and appointments.

We are looking for a support worker who is calm, patient, and able to build positive rapport while providing consistent and reliable support.

Preference may be given to candidates who can confidently engage in a male-focused support dynamic in line with participant preference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the participant during community access and appointments

  • Providing companionship and engaging in shared activities

  • Assisting with transport to and from appointments and community outings

  • Light meal preparation and general household tidying

  • Encouraging independence and positive routine engagement

  • Maintaining clear communication and documentation of shift notes

Requirements:

  • Experience in disability support

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or equivalent)

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Working With Children Check

  • Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and comprehensive insurance

  • Fluent written and verbal English

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
