At Opendoor, we are committed to creating opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen our communities. Each year, we help thousands of people across Australia through practical, person-centred programs spanning employment, training, disability support, youth, allied health and social enterprise.

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our NDIS Services team.

In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred support to people with disability in their homes and communities, helping them build independence, develop daily living skills, participate in meaningful activities, and work towards their individual goals.

  • Building positive and respectful relationships with participants, families and carers
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential participant records, documentation and electronic file notes
  • Reporting hazards, incidents, risks or concerns through appropriate channels
  • Working flexibly across a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends where required
  • Contributing to safe, respectful and high-quality service delivery in line with Opendoor and NDIS requirements

About You

You are caring, patient and professional, with a genuine commitment to supporting people with disability to live meaningful and self-directed lives.

You bring empathy, reliability and sound judgement, and you are confident working independently while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate concerns. You value dignity, choice and inclusion, and you are motivated by making a positive difference every day.

You will bring:

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Victorian Driver Licence and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within the scope of the role
  • Experience in person-centred practice and supporting people to make their own choices
  • Knowledge of the principles of the NDIS and NDIS Code of Conduct
  • Clear, respectful and inclusive communication skills
  • Commitment to safe work practices and high-quality participant support

Bonus points if you have:

  • Certificate IV in Disability or higher qualification in an industry-related field
  • Experience providing in-home or community-based supports to people with disability
  • Experience supporting participants with diverse needs, goals and communication styles
