Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Support Worker in Australia

  • Proven ability to work within complex environments, either individually, or working within a team

  • Certificate IV industry recognised qualification or higher

  • Availability to cover rosters across a 24/7 period

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Current Medication Administration Certificate with at least 12 months of consistent experience

  • Fully vaccinated (COVID-19 including booster, and Flu)

  • Manual Handling Certificate with at least 12 months of consistent experience

  • Working With Children Check

  • Current driver’s licence, reliable transport, and the ability to confidently drive a van

  • Willingness to travel regionally with support from the Care Talent team to contribute to fuel allowance within a reasonable proximity

About The Role: 

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to build their independence, develop daily living skills, and participate in their communities. You will be provided the opportunity to work within multiple teams and environments, which will increase your knowledge, skillset and capacity as you expand on your career within the disability sector. 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting clients with personal care, domestic duties, and meal preparation

  • Assisting with community participation, social outings, and recreational activities

  • Helping clients achieve their individual goals and enhance their independence

  • Documenting daily progress and reporting any concerns

  • Working collaboratively with care teams and other staff
