We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care to our NDIS participants.

We are specifically looking for candidates with a nursing background (current/former nurses, nursing students, or overseas-qualified nurses) who can bring strong clinical understanding, high-level care skills, and practical experience to the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily living support, personal care, and emotional support to participants.

  • Assist with complex care needs, medication management, and health monitoring.

  • Support clients with community access, appointments, and daily activities.

  • Maintain accurate daily progress notes and report any health or safety concerns.

  • Deliver care with dignity, respect, and a commitment to independence.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience: Proven experience working as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or in a similar healthcare setting.

  • Nursing Background: Current or former nursing qualification, current nursing studies, or relevant medical background is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of medication administration and complex care protocols.

  • Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Requirements

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

  • Right to work in Australia.
