Play a key role in maintaining product quality and compliance

Lynch Group is a globally respected floral company, supplying fresh flowers and plants to major retailers across Australia. From farms to distribution centres, we manage the full supply chain with a focus on product freshness, quality, and compliance.

We are seeking a QA Officer to join our Derrimut location, ensuring that products meet the highest standards and that all quality processes, reporting, and compliance obligations are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

  • Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports and monitor quality system performance

  • Track, investigate, and report quality system deviations

  • Maintain and improve QA processes, recommending and implementing new procedures where required

  • Conduct quality control of outgoing products and ensure specifications are met

  • Support ICA , PS 60 or other related essential accreditations, including staff training and weekly execution

Operations & Administration

  • Review inbound purchase orders for accuracy and report discrepancies.

  • Maintain documentation for quality specifications, compliance programs, and ICA processes.

  • Execute daily quality functions around incoming product quality assessment, reporting, interdepartmental collaboration/consultation, tactical decision making around what good looks like, will I buy it parameters.

  • Print and manage dispatch and box labels as required

  • Coordinate plant health certificates and end-of-month stock takes

  • Conduct weekly pallet counts and monitor stock for dispatch materials

Compliance & Safety

  • Support compliance with ISO 9001, HACCP, SQF, HARPS and other relevant standards

  • Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, or compliance concerns

  • Maintain safe work practices and ensure personal protective equipment is used

  • Escalate any suspected instances of modern slavery within the workplace or supply chain

Operational Support & Responsiveness

  • Work closely with operations teams to maintain consistent quality standards

  • Available during peak periods (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Christmas)

About You

  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control, preferably in warehouse, FMCG, fresh produce or horticulture

  • Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, HACCP, SQF)

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, collaborative skill, and reporting capability

  • Ability to train staff and communicate quality requirements effectively

  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
