Now ready to welcome their first dedicated, full-time WHS Manager, it's a fantastic time to join them to strengthen and modernise their safety governance and systems.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this is a hands-on role, responsible for leading and embedding a strong, safety-first culture across their diverse operations, avidly supported by a workers compensation and wellbeing consultant.

Highly visible and proactively partnering with production, supply chain, frontline teams and the executive leaders, you'll enjoy engaging, coaching and providing practical solutions to ensure safety systems, risk controls and compliance frameworks support a safe and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities include;

  • Develop the WHS strategy aligned to organisational objectives

  • Ensure organisational compliance with WHS Legislation, standards and regulatory obligations

  • Maintain and continuously improve the safety management system

  • Maintain the company's risk register and ensure critical risks are appropriately controlled

  • Manage contractor safety compliance including SWMS, insurance and site induction requirements

  • Oversee Safety Data Sheet (SDS) approvals and hazardous chemical management processes

  • Lead and sign-off on operational risk assessments for high risk activities, new plant and equipment, facility changes and major projects

  • Manage incident and hazard reporting requirements ensuring corrective actions are implemented

  • Conduct incident investigations including root cause analysis

  • Lead WHS audit programs and oversee implementation of improvements

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and maintain strong stakeholder relationships


To be Shortlisted:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Advisor or WHS Manager position within manufacturing or operations

  • Tertiary qualifications (Diploma minimum) in Work Health & Safety or related discipline

  • Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation

  • Confidence engaging across all levels - including CEO

  • A hands-on leadership style

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
