Boswen is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of fencing and construction projects from start to finish. This role is perfect for a hands-on professional who thrives on ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

About the Role

As a Project Manager at Boswen, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle – from scoping and planning through to delivery, client liaison, and post-project review. You will coordinate teams, manage resources, supervise subcontractors, and ensure projects contribute positively to the business’s profitability and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Project Delivery:

  • Scope, plan, and manage projects accurately.
  • Understand and apply Boswen products, including fencing systems, gates, and metalwork.
  • Interpret engineering and construction drawings.
  • Ensure projects meet HSEQ standards and comply with contracts.
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
  • Identify and resolve risks, variations, and delays promptly.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & People Management:

  • Manage Project Coordinators and subcontractors effectively.
  • Allocate tasks according to skills and project requirements.
  • Mentor and train junior staff and promote innovation.
  • Chair toolbox meetings focused on safety, efficiency, and daily goals.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as a critical client-facing interface.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and quickly resolve issues.
  • Collaborate across the business to achieve project objectives and drive quality assurance.

Skills & Experience

Technical Skills:

  • Engineering or construction-related qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in project management.
  • Competent in Microsoft 365, 2D & 3D CAD, planning, and scheduling.
  • Ability to take accurate site measurements and manage resource allocation.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and active listening).
  • Highly organised with attention to detail.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Confident, innovative thinker, willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Current driver’s licence required.
