Task & responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Be involved in designing and building innovative, eco-friendly, and economical living spaces using sustainable construction methods.
• Delivering cutting-edge designs that inspire creativity and promote a greener future.
• Aiding project Managers and civil engineers in the development of drainage projects by preparing tabulations, sketches, plans, and designs, as well as overseeing the construction of civil infrastructure works such as stormwater drainage, paths and earthworks, and water and sewerage reticulation systems.
• The role needs you to be thoroughly involved in Civil Engineering Projects which include cost estimation and budgeting. Be directly involved in analyzing the material cost in construction projects to ensure that finished works are within specifications, regulations, and contract provisions, and actively liaises with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
• The role involves ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards during project planning and delivery, regularly outlining work programs and timetables, and reviewing these for accuracy, adequacy, and feasibility.
• Visits construction sites to inspect civil engineering works, tests and evaluates construction materials, and reports back to the Management, while collaborating with other professionals to analyze data and findings to prepare engineering calculations and computations.
• In addition, you will provides support to our civil engineers in the design, construction, and management of a variety of projects, preparing detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and OSD calculations.
• Your duties also include submitting design drawings to relevant authorities for the approval process and aiding in the appropriate design solutions for the approval by authorities and stakeholders in our projects.
• Further to this, you will provide continued support to our engineering team by communicating with engineers, project managers, and other supervisors throughout all stages of the drafting, design, and construction process of our projects.
• Assist in planning and delivering Class 1a compliant secondary dwelling projects (granny flats and studios), including coordination of civil engineering input and building permit requirements

Qualification & experience

• Diploma or qualification in Civil Engineering, or Building and Construction (Building), or related field
• 1-3 years of relevant Australian work experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and time-management abilities
