Choices Flooring West Melbourne (Monte Flooring pty ltd) is seeking a Floor Finisher to prepare, install, repair and finish a range of flooring products for residential and commercial clients across Melbourne. The role involves working with carpet, timber, vinyl, laminate and hybrid flooring products, with a focus on quality workmanship, safe installation practices and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare floor surfaces by removing old coverings, cleaning, levelling, filling, sanding and applying appropriate subfloor treatments before installation.
• Measure, cut, fit, lay and finish flooring materials including carpet, timber, vinyl, laminate and hybrid flooring in accordance with job specifications.
• Repair, replace and finish flooring surfaces, including trimming edges, securing joins, applying adhesives and ensuring a clean, durable and professional finish.
• Follow safety procedures, maintain tools and equipment, and work with clients, supervisors and other trades to complete residential and commercial flooring projects efficiently.

What we need

• Minimum one year of relevant experience in floor finishing, flooring installation or a closely related trade.
• Practical experience working with carpet, vinyl, laminate, timber or hybrid flooring products.
• Good attention to detail and ability to complete work to a professional finish.
• Good communication skills and ability to work respectfully with clients, team members and other trades.
