We are currently looking for a Quality Manager to join our Snackfoods team, primarily based at our Dandenong South site with travel to our Braeside and Keysborough sites. This role plays a key part in driving reliability, planning efficiency, and continuous improvement across our operations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to embed and sustain a strong quality and food safety culture across our operations. The role is instrumental in driving continuous improvement in quality standards, systems, and processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and Kinrise Quality & Food Safety requirements. You will partner closely with site leadership, production teams, suppliers, and customers to deliver right‑first‑time outcomes, reduce complaints, and maintain certification and audit excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and embed a strong quality and food safety culture across the site.
  • Provide visible leadership in quality and food safety, partnering with site leadership, production teams, and contractors to build a “right first time” culture.
  • Define, implement, and monitor site quality and food safety priorities, objectives, and improvement plans aligned with Kinrise standards.
  • Maintain site certifications, HACCP programs, Approved Supplier Programs, and compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Own and administer site quality systems, including audits, change control, corrective actions, allergen management, cleaning programs, and risk assessments.
  • Lead investigation and analysis of consumer and customer complaints, identify trends, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with Production and cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues, reduce downtime, waste, non‑conformance, and stock disposal.
  • Develop and deliver annual quality and food safety training plans.
  • Lead customer, regulatory, and certification audits, ensuring audit readiness and strong performance outcomes.
  • Oversee supplier quality performance, including supplier audits, non‑conformance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide quality and food safety leadership during incidents, special situations, recalls, and emergency responses.
  • Contribute as a member of the Site Operations Leadership Team, integrating quality and food safety into broader operational decision‑making.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing Quality team, embedding problem‑solving, accountability, and continuous improvement practices.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong influencing, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with production teams and senior leaders.
  • Proactive, self‑driven approach with a passion for quality and food safety.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, agile environment with ambiguity.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Quality Management role within FMCG food manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead and coach teams to improve food safety and quality culture.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, auditing standards, and food safety legislation.
  • Experience with budgeting, change management, and project management.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
