About our client:
Our client is an award-winning not-for-profit aged care provider, specialising in providing culturally sensitive aged care for people of all backgrounds for more than 46 years. They provide a wide range of aged care services and programs to support elders and their families.
To ensure they continue to provide a superior level of service and care to their elders, they are seeking an experienced and compassionate Quality Advisor to join their busy Community Services team.
About The Opportunity:
Reporting to the relevant Manager, the Quality Advisor will be a key member of the Quality team and play a significant role in monitoring the quality of care and service provided to the elders in our care across residential facilities and/or home care services. You will assist in building the capability of staff in quality, risk and clinical processes and in the review and update of our policies and processes to meet the Aged Care Quality Standards and Government’s reform Agenda and Support at Home Program.
The Day-to-day Responsibilities:
Ensure all applicable regulations, including the Aged Care Quality Standards, and that care practices are aligned with best practices and policies.
Regularly review and evaluate the care and services provided to our elders, ensuring that they meet the required quality and clinical standards by conducting audits and internal assessments across allocated service functions.
Work with management and staff to ensure our accreditation status, under the Aged Care Provider Registration Standards and any other external criteria, are maintained.
Participate in the implementation of the Strengthened Standards across the organisation in a variety of capacities including education, policy review, audit review etc., enhancing the capabilities of staff in their application of the revised standards.
Provide education in areas of compliance, auditing, provider registration, and continuous improvement.
Identify training needs for staff to enhance safe work practices for care delivery.
Assist in the investigation of and responses to complaints, in consultation with the manager.
Support elders and their families to ensure their feedback and concerns are addressed promptly.
What Success Looks Like for This Role
Relevant qualification in Nursing with AHPRA registration preferred or allied health practitioner.
Demonstrated experience and/or certification in quality management, compliance auditing, or regulatory affairs within the aged care sector in residential or home care is essential.
A proven ability to develop and implement quality improvement plans.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Analysis and reporting of continuous improvement data.
Delivery of training on quality clinical care or compliance to standards and policies.
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
A passion for improving the lives of elders through high-quality care.
