Construction & Interior Fitout Project Manager – New Stores & Warehouses

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end construction and interior fitout projects for new retail stores, warehouses, and commercial facilities.

• Coordinate site selection, planning, design, approvals, and project execution.

• Liaise with architects, designers, builders, contractors, landlords, councils, and suppliers.

• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and procurement schedules.

• Oversee store and warehouse fitouts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Monitor construction progress, quality standards, workplace safety, and compliance requirements.

• Coordinate installation of shelving, racking, refrigeration, fixtures, signage, IT infrastructure, and equipment.

• Manage contractor selection, and contract administration.

• Conduct site inspections and resolve construction, design, or operational issues.

• Ensure compliance with building regulations, permits, and Australian standards.

• Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to senior management.

• Support maintenance, refurbishment, and expansion projects across existing locations.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in construction, retail fitout, warehouse development, or project management.

• Strong understanding of building regulations, permits, and construction processes.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent negotiation, contractor management, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Strong budgeting, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Building, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
