This full-time position will support the company’s expansion into compost manufacturing and agricultural land management. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on compost processing, quality standards, and sustainable farm management practices.

Task & responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice on compost processing methods derived from green waste materials
  • Assess soil quality and recommend strategies to improve fertility and productivity
  • Develop structured compost application programs tailored to agricultural use
  • Advise on sustainable land management practices and environmental compliance
  • Evaluate crop and soil performance data to recommend productivity improvements
  • Monitor compost maturity, nutrient balance and quality control parameters
  • Develop operational guidelines for compost production and farm integration
  • Support implementation of sustainable agricultural systems aligned with environmental standards
  • Liaise with operational staff to ensure effective integration of compost processing into agricultural operations

  • Collect, examine and interpret soil samples, green waste inputs, compost materials and environmental data to assess nutrient composition, soil suitability and projected agricultural productivity

  • Provide specialist advice to company management on techniques in soil fertility, crop establishment and pasture development through the application of compost derived from green waste.

  • Advise on potential plant disease risks, pest control strategies, weed management and soil conditioning methods relevant to newly developed agricultural land.

  • Analyse environmental factors including soil structure, moisture retention, nutrient cycles, climate conditions and land capability affecting crop and pasture production

  • Evaluate the impact of compost quality on cultivation methods, soil characteristics and organic inputs on anticipated agricultural output and long-term land sustainability

  • Develop structured procedures and technical guidelines for compost processing, soil improvement and staged farm development to enhance productivity and operational efficiency

  • Prepare strategic land management plans addressing erosion control, nutrient management and sustainable agricultural practices for the initial establishment of farming activities

  • Investigate and plan preventative management strategies to mitigate risks associated with drought, flooding, soil degradation, pest infestations and plant diseases

  • Provide technical reports and recommendations to support decision-making in relation to compost application rates, crop selection and long-term agricultural development

  • Support the development of operational frameworks to ensure environmentally responsible and commercially sustainable agricultural expansion

Qualification & experience

  • Masterès or PhD degree in Agriculture and Agronomy with the focus on Environmental Science,
  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in agricultural advisory, soil management, compost production or farm management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of green waste production, soil fertility, nutrient cycles and sustainable crop production
  • Experience in compost processing, organic waste reuse or soil improvement programs
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to provide practical technical guidance in an operational environment
