AEMO at the Heart of Energy
AEMO is Australia’s independent energy system and market operator and system planner. AEMO’s purpose is to ensure safe, reliable and affordable energy today, and enable the energy transition for the benefit of all Australians. Australian governments are now committed to a net zero economy for Australia by 2050 and our vision is to enable this. We have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to co-design the future of our energy systems, and our core values revolve around character, commitment, and connection. Join us as we contribute to this significant transition in the energy sector.

This is a hands-on 12-month fixed term contract in either Melbourne or Sydney with an opportunity to make a real impact on nationally significant programs.
What you will be doing
Deliver end‑to‑end change activities using AEMO’s Enterprise Change Framework, driving practical, high‑quality best practice outcomes that embed successfully into the business.
Partner with senior stakeholders (Change, Program and Project Managers) to design and deliver effective change strategies, plans, key artefacts, activities and outcomes
Lead stakeholder communications, engagement, and learning/training activities to drive adoption and readiness across complex, technical environments.
Work closely with Program/Project Managers to proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies impacting successful delivery.

What you will bring to the role
Extensive experience delivering end‑to‑end change management across complex initiatives including technology and operating model initiatives.
Hands on expertise in designing and delivering impact assessments, strategies/plans, communications, training/learning, and business readiness.
Ideally with workplace experience in the application of common Change Management methodologies (e.g. Kubler-Ross, Bridges Transition Model, Human Centered Design etc.)
Strong capability across communications, engagement, and learning design and delivery to drive adoption in technical environments.
Solid understanding of project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Lean) and ability to operate effectively within them.
Relevant qualifications, accreditations and/or certifications in change management or related disciplines (e.g. Change Management Institute, APMG, PROSCI).
Demonstrated ability to co‑design solutions, influence stakeholders, and coach leaders to embed change effectively.
Applicants must be an Australian citizen with the ability to attain and maintain an appropriate level of national security clearance issued by AGSVA.
