Looking for Iimmediate start,
We are seeking a forward-thinking Product Designer to develop and enhance products, used in the construction industry. You will be responsible for creating practical and safe products that align with our brand and market needs. This role requires a balance of conceptual design, prototyping, CAD modeling, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:Design and develop innovative products, tools, and systems for use in construction environments.
Conduct user research and field observations to understand user needs, pain points, and ergonomic factors.
Produce sketches, 3D CAD models, and detailed renderings for product concepts.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure design feasibility and performance.
Prototype and test designs to validate performance, usability, and safety.
Ensure all designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and durability requirements.
Maintain awareness of materials, manufacturing processes, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.
Present ideas and concepts clearly to stakeholders, clients, and team members.
Bachelor's degree in industrial design, Product Design, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in industrial design, preferably with exposure to the construction or heavy equipment industries.
Some exposure to the construction or heavy equipment industry is sufficient for this position.
Proficiency in 2D/3D design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite).
Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks is the most critical CAD software requirement for this role.
Proven hands-on experience with R&D pipelines or a similar environment
Strong understanding of materials, ergonomics, and manufacturing methods.
Excellent presntation skills
Experience with prototyping techniques (3D printing, CNC, mock-ups).
Familiarity with construction workflows, tools, and site environments is a strong advantage.
Partner with cross-disciplinary teams to optimize product designs for functionality, cost, and manufacturability.
Contribute to ongoing product improvement initiatives, including design optimization and cost reduction.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience designing construction tools, safety equipment, or modular systems.
Knowledge of sustainable materials and eco-friendly design practices.
Prior experience working directly with engineers, architects, or field technicians.
