The role:

The position will provide high quality, innovative, practical urban and landscape architectural services and project management to Whitehorse City Council in the development and subdivision process, with an emphasis on effective service delivery and commitment to quality design and construction outcomes for Council.

About you:

To be considered for this position you will have:

• Bachelor of Landscape Architecture / Urban Design or similar tertiary qualification/s, combined with relevant demonstrated experience in the landscape and streetscape design and supervision of delivery of relevant construction works.
• Project management skills, including effective time management for contract staff and the coordination of external contractors and consultants.
• Demonstrated experience and skills in the Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project) and GIS systems.
• Demonstrated experience and skills in local government software related to Procurement, Customer Service and Document management.
• Corporate membership of AILA, or similar professional institute. 
• Building and Construction Industry White/Red Card. 
• Extensive design and project management experience in delivering landscape and urban design projects.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to gain cooperation and assistance from other employees, contractors, consultants, residents, and other stakeholders.
