About the Role:

We are looking for skilled and dedicated Spray Painters to join our manufacturing team in Truganina. In this role, you will be a key part of our Paint & Blast department, responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on semi-trailers and components that meet our rigorous standards for durability and safety.

• Hours: 6:30am – 2:36pm Monday to Friday
• Casual Rate - $56.25ph + Super
• Permanent Rate - $37.80ph + Super
• RDO: Every second Mondays
• Immediate start following successful drug and alcohol testing
• Temp to Perm post 6 months subject to performance

Your Primary Responsibilities

Working closely with the manufacturing team, you will ensure every trailer leaves our facility with a professional finish:

• Surface Preparation: Perform cleaning, sanding, masking, sealing, and surface correction to prepare units for paint.
• Application: Apply high-quality paint and protective coatings to trailers and various components.
• Quality Control: Inspect your completed work and rectify any defects to ensure it meets specifications.
• Equipment Care: Safely operate spray-painting equipment and maintain a clean, professional paint booth.
• Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all WHS procedures (including working at heights and using PPE), maintain tools, and promptly report any mechanical faults or safety concerns.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with sandblasters, fabricators, and supervisors to meet production deadlines.

Selection Criteria

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who brings both technical skill and a strong safety mindset to the floor:

• Proven Experience: Demonstrated background as a Spray Painter within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Technical Skill: Strong expertise in full surface preparation (sanding, masking, sealing) and the application of industrial coatings.
• WHS Knowledge: A solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Team Spirit: The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
• Physical Capability: Capability to handle repetitive manual work and occasional heavy lifting as required by the role.
