We're looking for a skilled and motivated Production Electrician to ensure our operations run seamlessly.
Position Overview:
The Production Electrician will play a vital role in maintaining state-of-the-art equipment, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to keep our production lines running efficiently. This role involves collaboration with the maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and uphold the highest safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues in production equipment and systems, including PLCs and automated machinery.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on state-of-the-art electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
Work with and troubleshoot PLC systems, including Siemens, Omron, and Allen-Bradley platforms.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to identify and resolve issues.
Support the installation, upgrade, and modification of electrical systems and equipment.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve system reliability and reduce downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and company protocols.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system status.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to maintain production schedules.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an industrial or production electrician in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience as an industrial or production electrician is required.
Expertise in working with PLC systems such as Siemens, Omron, and Allen-Bradley.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, motors, and control systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs (basic programming experience preferred).
Intermediate level PLC programming experience is required for system modifications and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with VFDs and HMI
Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Valid Australian electrician licence is required at time of application.
