Support a Young Participant - Melbourne

We are seeking experienced, compassionate, and reliable Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support to a young participant living with Ataxia Telangiectasia (AT).

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working within a supportive and professional team environment.

About the Role

As an NDIS Disability Support Worker, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred supports aligned with the participant’s NDIS goals, individual support plan, and the NDIS Code of Conduct.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Personal care and mobility assistance
  • Supporting daily living skills and independence
  • Community access and social participation
  • Assistance with therapy-related routines (as guided)
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting changes
  • Accurate documentation and progress notes
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and duty of care

You will play a key role in promoting choice, dignity, inclusion, and quality of life.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience supporting participants with complex or high physical support needs (highly regarded)
  • A strong understanding of person-centred and strengths-based practice
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Professional documentation and reporting ability
  • Reliability and a commitment to high-quality care

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health (or equivalent or working towards)
  • Relevant NDIS disability support experience
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Reliable and insured vehicle
