  • Days Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

    • Tuesday and Friday, 7:45am to 4pm - teaching days

    • Wednesday - non-contact/administration day

About the role

South Kingsville Preschool Inc. seeks a passionate and experienced 4YO Early Childhood Teacher to join our team part-time for a sessional Kinder commencing in Term 2 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners in our vibrant South Kingsville, Victoria community. South Kingsville Preschool is a community- based kindergarten which values family engagement and community connections and based in a well-established Community Centre.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for 4-year-old children

  • Assess and monitor children's progress, providing individualised support and feedback

  • Collaborate with parents/guardians to support children's holistic development

  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory requirements

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Kinder program

  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood or Bachelor of teaching - Early Childhood or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role

  • Valid Early Childhood Teacher VIT registration and the ability to renew

  • Up to date First Aid certification, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management training

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate routines and programs guided by the approved learning frameworks, NQF, EYLF and the VEYLDF

  • Deep understanding of child development and the ability to create engaging, play-based learning environments

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

  • Commitment to upholding high standards of care and education, and a passion for supporting young learners

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
