The Role and Key Responsibilities

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for the Full-Time role of Personal Care Assistant. This position provides routine personal care services and direct support to clients in their homes.

Your duties, which are exactly as per the job description and align with ANZSCO 423313, will include:

  • Assisting patients with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating

  • Assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs

  • Participating in planning the care of individuals

  • Following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioral problems

  • Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care

  • Assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment and delivering medications

  • Providing direct support and assistance to therapists

Mandatory Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria, which reflect the ANZSCO Skill Level 4 requirements:

· Qualifications: A minimum of an AQF Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Disability) or a higher, relevant vocational qualification is required. Qualifications must include evidence of a vocational placement/practical training of at least 120 hours, if non-nursing related.

· Experience: A minimum of 12 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) paid work experience in a relevant direct care role, completed within the last five years, is essential.

· Certifications & Skills: Must hold current certifications in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Must have demonstrated competency in following care plans and maintaining medical records.

· General: A valid Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle is required.

Salary & Benefits (Nominated Salary Range)

We offer a remuneration package that is competitive with the market rate in the Sydney region and meets all skilled migration thresholds.

Nominated Annual Salary Range

AUD $77,000 – $85,000 per annum

Additional Benefits

Statutory Superannuation (currently 12%) and applicable shift penalties and allowances.
