At East Malvern Early Learning Centre, we know our team is a massive part of what makes us special! Our educators are one big extended family we are lucky to have long serving and passionate people in our team. We are seeking a passionate and caring educator who is a team player and have completed their DIPLOMA or CERTIFICATE 3 of Early Childhood Education to join our team.  We offer a warm and supportive working environment with opportunities to grow and take responsibility, if you wish.

The applicant requires strong verbal and written communication skills, understands early childhood development, and can effectively build relationships with children and families. They demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to reflect on and improve teaching practices.

We are a privately owned long day care service educating 50 children. We have been assessed by ACECQA and received the rating of EXCEEDING NATIONAL QUALITY (in all areas). We are committed to providing a child safe environment. We are in a wonderful location with access to public transport, a variety of local cafes, and local parks the children get opportunities to explore.  We pride ourselves on our strong sense of community.

To be considered for this position, you must have experience working in childcare and also need the following: 

  • Completed Diploma or Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care

  • Available 5 days per week (permanent part-time 37.5 hours per week)

  • Experience working in kindergarten room (3-5 years old children is preferred). With flexibility of working in other age groups

  • Visa and work right to work 37.5 hours per week (also visa duration greater than 18 months)

  • Working With Children Check Card

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Anaphylaxis Certificate

  • Strong Communication Skills
