About the role

Nagle Pre-School in Sandringham, is seeking an experienced Diploma or Certificate 3 Educator to join our dedicated team in a part-time, permanent role.

The role is primarily working as an educator in our 3 year old Wattle group, as part of an experienced and supportive team.

Hours -

Monday and Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm (3YO session days)

Wednesday 10:00am-1:30pm (2hrs non contact planning time and 1.5hrs lunch cover in 4YO group) Note - Some flexibility for these hours to be on Friday instead of Wednesday.

Total of 19.5 hours per week, plus paid school holidays, staff meetings and pro rata Professional learning.

VECTEA 2020 Award rates according to qualifications and experience.

Starting Term 2, Monday 20th April 2026.

What you'll be doing

• Be a collaborative team member with a passion and understanding of children's individual needs and development

• Providing high-quality care and education to children in our 3 and 4 year old sessional kindergarten groups

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing aligned with the Early Years Learning and Development Framework

• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

• Documenting children's progress and development through observations and assessments

• Communicating effectively with families and building strong partnerships

• Participating in professional development opportunities to continually improve practice

What we're looking for

• A Diploma or Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification

• Demonstrated experience working in a kindergarten or early learning setting

• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework , National Quality Standards and Child Safe Standards

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A current Mandatory Reporting Certificate, Working with Children Check and First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
