St Thomas the Apostle Primary School is seeking a dedicated Education Support Officer to deliver small group instruction as well as classroom support, nurturing students’ personal, social, and academic growth within our Catholic community.

About the Role:

  • 5 days a week during school terms

  • Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy support in small groups.

  • Work with teachers to implement effective learning strategies.

  • Provide individualised support to boost student confidence and engagement.

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and faith-filled learning environment

About You:

  • Committed to supporting student learning and development.

  • Willing to uphold and contribute to the Catholic ethos of our school.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Experience in education or working with children (desirable).

  • Patient, adaptable, and student-focused.

  • Current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.

Education Support Officer - Classroom
to commence from 20th April 2026. This is an ongoing position as an Education Support Officer position under the DOSCEL 2022 agreement. 

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide outstanding support to students.

The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified (or look to be studying in an education or education support field), and be able to provide care and support for students and families whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment.
