About usAQA was established in 1987 by a group of people with quadriplegia who saw a need to improve access to information, support and employment opportunities for people who had sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI) – particularly quadriplegia. Today AQA continues to provide individualised supports to people with spinal cord injury and other physical disabilities.
About the role
We are seeking reliable and caring Support Workers to provide assistance to a client with complex care needs based in Kangaroo Ground. This role offers various shifts and the chance to deliver genuine support that enhances quality of life.
- Morning, day and afternoon shifts available: Wednesday 8.30am-11am, Friday 8.30pm-10.30pm plus many more
- Provide community access and companionship, including shopping, appointments, and social activities
- Assist with bowel and urinary care, including catheter management
- Provide personal care, including showering, grooming and dressing

Manual handling, including transfers with a ceiling hoist and other safe practices
- Follow individual support and risk management plans to ensure safe and respectful care
About you
- Compassionate, respectful, and committed to client-centred care
- Experienced in supporting individuals with complex care needs including bowel and urinary care
- Confident in manual handling and safe use of mobility equipment (e.g., ceiling hoist)
- Flexible and adaptable to support the clients' personal preferences, privacy, and independence
- Reliable, with a current driver’s license and comfortable driving in rural areas and at nighttime
