Grimshaw Street ELC is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our dedicated team in Watsonia, VIC.

We particularly encourage applicants from an inquiry-based learning background and at least 3 years experience to apply.This is a full-time position working with our 4-5 year old Kindergarten group. As an Experienced Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality educational programs that support the holistic development of our young learners.

What you'll be doing

  1. Plan and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework

  2. Observe, document and assess children's progress, tailoring your approach to meet the individual needs of each child

  3. Build strong relationships with children and their families, fostering a sense of community and trust

  4. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our educational programs and centre practices

  5. Collaborate with the wider team to ensure a cohesive, whole-centre approach

  6. Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations and centre policies

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification

  2. Minimum 3 years' experience as an Early Childhood Teacher, preferably in a Kindergarten setting with an inquiry-based approach.

  3. Thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and its implementation

  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, families and colleagues

  5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  6. Passionate about supporting the growth and development of young children

  7. Current Victorian Working with Children Check and First Aid certification.
