 AGED CARE AND COMMUNITY CARE SUPPORT WORKER

We are seeking compassionate, reliable Aged Care and Community Care Support Workers to join our growing team. In this rewarding role, you will support older Australians to remain living safely and independent in their own homes within the community.

Casual positions are available to provide individualised, innovative quality care and services to elderly people in the community.  Shifts may vary for staff depending upon the choices of the participant.

About the role 

As an Aged Care or Community Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals.  You will promote dignity, independence, choice and social connection.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Assistance with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)

  • Domestic support (Cleaning, laundry, meal preparation)

  • Social support and companionship

  • Transport to appointments and community activities

  • Medication prompts (where required)

  • Reporting and documentation in line with the organisational policies

  • Observing and reporting changes in client wellbeing

Skills & Experience

·         Certificate III in Aged Care Support or Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Home & Community)

  • Minimum 12 months’ work experience in Aged Care

·         Current First Aid Certificate (Including valid CPR)

·         Current Police Check.

·         Current Working with Children Check

·         Eligible for work in Australia.

  • Driving licence and Comprehensive Car Insurance Policy

  • Strong communications skills
