Talent Focus are supporting a leading independent F–12 school, who is seeking a dedicated and highly capable Health & Physical PE Teacher to join its team. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Teacher will be part of a collaborative teaching team responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs that support both academic achievement and social development. The role requires maintaining a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment where all students can thrive.

Teachers are expected to uphold high professional standards, demonstrate personal integrity, and contribute positively to the wider school community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan and deliver engaging, student-centred, and outcomes-focused learning programs aligned with curriculum requirements
  • Develop semester planners and unit plans in accordance with school policies and frameworks
  • Implement effective assessment, monitoring, and reporting practices to track student progress
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour
  • Provide pastoral care and support students’ wellbeing in collaboration with relevant staff and professionals
  • Communicate student progress effectively to parents through reports, work samples, interviews, and ongoing feedback
  • Participate in curriculum development days, intercampus collaboration, and professional learning activities
  • Contribute to extracurricular programs including camps, excursions, sports, competitions, and enrichment activities
  • Integrate digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and student engagement
  • Undertake supervisory duties including yard duty and other school responsibilities as required
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant discipline
  • Current VIT registration (essential)
  • Valid First Aid Level 2 certification, including EpiPen training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong ability to integrate ICT into teaching and learning programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, colleagues, and families
  • Capacity to manage student wellbeing and pastoral care issues professionally and sensitively
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
  • Strong understanding of contemporary teaching practices and educational theory
  • Commitment to inclusive education and fostering positive student outcomes
