Are you passionate about education and ready to lead with enthusiasm and vision? Our newly built Burwood East Centre is now open, and we're on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic Lead Educator to join our team!

Village Early Education is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. We understand our responsibilities and statutory duty of care and are committed to raising awareness about the importance of child safety in our organisation and our communities, which is essential for promoting healthy and safe learning environments for children.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced lead educator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Create and deliver engaging programs and experiences tailored to the developmental needs and interests of children in line with the EYLF.

  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.

  • Programming and Planning: Documenting children’s learning and development in line with the EYLF and National Quality Framework.

  • Family Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with families through effective communication.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and centre management to ensure a harmonious, collaborative work environment and contribute to the overall success of the centre.

  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment in compliance with relevant regulations, National Quality Framework and Village Early Education’s policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Diploma level qualification in Education and Care  

  • Working with Children's Check: Employee status

  • Experience: Desirable 1 year experience in a lead educator role.

  • Skills: Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices in early childhood. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

  • Attributes: Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for fostering young children’s growth and development.
