Literacy & English Teacher (Primary) | Small Group Teaching

Acquire Academy is a growing learning centre dedicated to helping primary students build strong foundations in reading, writing and confidence.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated educator who genuinely enjoys helping children succeed and wants to make a meaningful difference in their learning journey.

At Acquire Academy, students learn in small supportive groups using structured literacy and English programs designed to strengthen reading, comprehension and writing skills.

About the role

You will work with small groups of primary students, guiding them through our structured literacy and English programs. Our focus is on building confidence, improving reading and writing skills, and helping students develop a love for learning.

This role is ideal for a teacher or preservice teacher who enjoys working closely with students and seeing real progress in their abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach small groups of primary students in Literacy and English
• Support students in developing reading fluency, comprehension and writing skills
• Encourage confidence and a positive attitude toward learning
• Provide clear explanations and guidance to help students understand concepts
• Contribute to a supportive and professional learning environment

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience teaching Literacy and English to primary students
• Is passionate about helping students grow in confidence and ability
• Enjoys working with children and building positive relationships
• Is friendly, patient and encouraging
• Is reliable, organised and professional
• Is motivated to make a real difference in students’ learning

Preferred qualifications

• Primary school teacher or preservice teacher (Education degree)
• Experience teaching reading, writing or literacy programs
• Strong understanding of primary English and literacy development
