About the Role

The purpose of the casual OSHC Assistants is to support the delivery of a safe, inclusive, and engaging out-of-school-hours program where children feel supported, valued, and able to enjoy positive social and recreational experiences.

The OSHC program runs from the Preshil Kindergarten space and includes three and four year-old kindergarten children, and primary aged children. Hours are from 3.00pm until 6.00pm each evening. There may also be opportunity for employment in our School Holiday Program, or as casual replacement, if available.

About You

• Warm, flexible and reliable, with a genuine interest in supporting children in a relaxed, welcoming after-school environment.

• Values individuality, creativity and the unique strengths of every child, and helps create spaces where children feel safe and included.

• Supports children to unwind, play and connect through positive social and recreational experiences after a full day of learning.

• Works well as part of a team, communicates clearly, and contributes to a collaborative school community built on trust and respect.

• Brings a calm, positive and supportive presence to daily interactions with children, families and colleagues.

• Holds a minimum of Certificate III in Children’s Services, Early Childhood Education and Care, Outside School Hours Care, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
