Mazenod Football Club Inc. is seeking a dedicated Private Football Tutor to provide specialised individual coaching and development programs for athletes within the club’s football development structure.

The successful candidate will work closely with coaching staff to deliver individualised training programs, technical instruction and performance development sessions for selected players.

The role focuses on one-on-one and small group tutoring, assisting athletes in improving their technical football skills, tactical understanding and overall athletic performance through structured instruction and mentoring.

Task & responsibilities

The Private Football Tutor will be responsible for:

• Planning structured training and development programs tailored to the needs of individual players and small groups

• Preparing and presenting instructional material on football techniques, tactics and game awareness

• Providing one-on-one instruction and demonstration of practical football skills and drills

• Designing and assigning training exercises and practice activities suited to players’ abilities and development goals

• Assessing individual player performance and providing constructive feedback, advice and mentoring

• Preparing players for matches, trials, training assessments and performance evaluations

• Monitoring athletes’ progress and adapting training programs to support ongoing development

• Collaborating with coaching staff to support technical and tactical development pathways

• Reviewing and updating training programs, instructional materials and coaching methodologies

• Maintaining training documentation and progress reports for individual players

• Keeping abreast of developments in football coaching techniques, sports science and training methodologies

Qualification & experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Sports Science, Physical Education, Coaching or related field or equivalent professional experience

• Strong background in football coaching or athlete development

• At least 1 year Experience delivering individual or small group training programs

• Excellent communication and mentoring skills

• Ability to assess player performance and design improvement strategies

• Understanding of modern football training methodologies
