        About the Role

        We are currently seeking a passionate, collaborative and dedicated Secondary Teacher - Health and Human Development (HHD) and Physical Education (PE) to join our growing team.

        The successful applicant will inspire students to develop healthy lifestyles, physical literacy, resilience and a lifelong appreciation for health and wellbeing. Working within a supportive and innovative learning environment, you will deliver engaging and contemporary learning experiences that promote student achievement and personal growth.

        In this role, you will report directly to the principal and be primarily responsible for:

        • Delivering engaging and high-quality Health and Human Development (HHD) and Physical Education (PE) programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
        • Supporting the wellbeing, academic progress and holistic development of students.
        • Creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment that promotes participation and achievement.
        • Using contemporary, evidence-based teaching practices to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
        • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider school community to support student success.
        • Contributing to the co-curricular and extracurricular life of the College where appropriate.

        Leadership Opportunity

        A Temporary Head of Physical Education position for a period of up to 16 weeks may be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates. This opportunity will provide leadership and support to the PE department during a period of staff leave.

        Selection Criteria

          • VIT - Teacher’s registration to teach in Victoria
          • Relevant Tertiary qualifications or a related field
          • Experience in a similar role
          • Have excellent relationship and communication skills
