The Role (Fixed Term until August 2027)

An excellent fixed term opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of the FRV Information Management Framework, including associated information management policies, procedures and programs, to uplift organisational information management capabilities and ensure compliance with Victorian Government legislation and standards.

Functional Accountabilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of the FRV Information Management Framework, policies and programs to uplift capability and ensure compliance with Victorian Government standards.

  • Lead the review and maintenance of the Information Asset Register (IAR) to ensure compliance with Victorian Protective Data Security Standards (VPDSS).

  • Conduct regular information reviews to identify risks, maintain a risk register, and report/escalate key issues as required.

  • Establish and support the Information Management Governance Committee (IMGC) and foster communities of practice (CoP) across FRV with a focus on information management and governance.

  • Manage the development and implementation of information management education, training and awareness programs. This includes advancing business units understanding of the correct allocation of protective markings and information release management.

  • Manage data sharing processes, including registers, requests, access controls, and inter-agency agreements.

The Team

The Corporate Services Directorate provides advice, planning and support in the areas of Finance, Information Technology, Fleet, Property and Records Management. In addition, the directorate also provides oversight of the FRV commercial arm, Fire and Equipment Services (FES). The directorate is a key enabler for the operational and corporate units of the business to deliver on organisational objectives.

What you will need to Succeed

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in the Information Management discipline and/or extensive experience in the Information Management field.

  • Extensive experience in leading and managing organisation wide initiatives.

  • Extensive experience in the implementation and adoption of integrated Information Management and Information Technology systems.

  • Extensive experience in engaging with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
