About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Art Teacher to teach Visual Arts across Years 7–12, including VCE Art or Visual Communication Design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Visual Arts lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE Study Designs

  • Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression

  • Guide students in developing practical art-making skills across various media and techniques

  • Assess and report on student progress using formative and summative assessment tools

  • Integrate digital technologies and contemporary art practices into teaching

  • Contribute to art displays, showcases, exhibitions, and community events

  • Engage in pastoral care, co-curricular activities, and professional learning

What You'll Need

  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education with a specialisation in Visual Arts or related field

  • Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and VCE Art or Visual Communication Design

  • Demonstrated experience teaching secondary and/or VCE Visual Arts (preferred)

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills

  • Commitment to collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
