Our client is an ASX listed designer / manufacturer of automotive parts with operations across Australia. Driven by business growth, a new role for an Engineering Technologist has become available based out of their product development and manufacturing facility in Melbourne's South East. This is a great opportunity for either a recent engineering graduate or an experienced person moving into an engineer role from a trades or diploma qualified background.
In this role, working as part of the team, you will be expected to:
o Assist in the efficient creation, control and dissemination of engineering
documentation including: BOMs, PPAPs, Development Requests and Engineering Change Requests.
o Assist engineers with identifying and implementing system improvements to enhance efficiencies
o Be proficient in IT systems used to manage projects, including but not limited to Wrike, Siteline and MEX and contribute to the learning of others.
o Use CAD software to support engineers in the design process
o Assist in the conducting and reporting on experiments, tests and other validation activities.

• A recent engineering graduate or someone looking to change into a professional engineering career from a diploma or trades background
• Good experience working with IT management systems and other engineering-related software such as CAD
• Demonstrated stakeholder management with proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
• Ability to identify innovations to improve processes to support customer expectations and generate productivity improvements
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices
