About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic or Mechanical Assembler to join our client in Rowville. You will be someone who can rebuild and service transmissions and gear boxes, with solid technical skills and a mechanical aptitude.

What you'll be doing

  • You will perform a range of tasks and duties related to clutch and transmission assembly, along with technical and quality support for product defects at OEM and aftermarket customers. 

  • Operate hand and power tools to cut, fit, and assemble components

  • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet safety and performance standards

  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to support efficient and safe production

  • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve any issues or problems

  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a mechanical assembly or manufacturing role

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Competent in using hand and power tools

  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and environments

Normal hours of work will be 7:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday
