Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and qualified ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST to join and bring their expertise to our dedicated professional team in Dandenong South Victoria.

The Role In this role, you will be responsible for applying engineering technology principles to Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities across Shearform’s operations and report to the Quality Manager/ Operations Manager Your Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Apply established engineering technologies and principles to support quality assurance and quality control systems Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards Collaborate with engineers and other Professionals to develop and implement engineering solutions

Prepare, implement, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation Conduct inspections, testing, and verification of engineering materials, components, and systems Ensure compliance with Australian Standards (AS) and relevant international standards (ISO, ASTM, ASME)

Identify, analyse, and manage non-conformances (NCRs) and implement corrective actions Perform root cause analysis using engineering methodologies Liaise with engineers, technicians, and operational teams to resolve technical issues

Support operational activities and supervise technical staff to ensure engineering compliance Conduct inspections to ensure engineering technologies are applied in compliance with relevant regulations and standards Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation

To be considered for this role, you must have the following: Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering technology, or a related field More than 2 years of relevant work experience

Strong skills in data analysis, and technical reporting Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and operating machinery

Ability to apply engineering mathematics and physics to solve practical problems Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in teams, liaising between engineers, contractors, and, production staff
