About the role

As the Environmental Team Leader - Operations at Habitat Management Services. We’re a specialist environmental and arboricultural consultancy that’s been delivering real environmental outcomes since 2004.

From flora and fauna surveys to habitat creation, environmental planning to arboricultural assessments. This is not a back-office role. You’ll be at the centre of how we deliver coordinating field teams, managing project workflows, driving operational standards, and building the systems that allow a specialist environmental consultancy to scale sustainably. You’ll be willing to combine team leadership with operational rigour to ensure our clients continue to receive the high-quality, timely and science-based services they rely on.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee day-to-day operational delivery across consulting, field services, and project engagements

  • Assist in scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of ecological and arboricultural teams across multiple concurrent projects

  • Implement and refine operational processes, SOPs, and workflows to support business growth and consistency

  • Conduct field audits to maintain service quality, safety standards, and regulatory compliance

  • Support equipment planning, fleet logistics, and operational readiness as services expand

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in operations management, team leadership, or project management within a services based business (environmental consulting, construction, infrastructure, or related sectors highly regarded)

  • Strong organisational capability with proven ability to coordinate teams, manage workflows, and deliver projects on time and to standard

  • Experience implementing operational structure and process improvement within a growing organisation

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – comfortable working across field teams, clients, and senior leadership

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to service quality and safety

  • Current Australian driver’s licence

  • Right to work in Australia

What we offer

  • ⭐ Competitive salary + super + annual bonus

  • ⭐ Hybrid & flexible work arrangements

  • ⭐ Company vehicle for field work

  • ⭐ Real career progression in a growing business

  • ⭐ Meaningful work that matters
