About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll play a critical role in minimising downtime, improving reliability, and supporting smooth production operations across the plant.
This is a hands-on role suitable for someone who thrives in a busy environment, takes ownership, and enjoys both reactive and preventative maintenance work.
What You’ll Be Doing
Carrying out preventative and routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment
Diagnosing faults and performing breakdown repairs quickly and effectively
Supporting installation of new machinery and upgrades
Maintaining packing and palletising equipment
Managing spare parts and maintenance records
Working closely with production to keep lines running efficiently
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring all work meets WHS and Australian safety standards
What You’ll Bring
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (or relevant engineering fabrication trade)
Strong experience in maintenance within manufacturing/FMCG
TIG/MIG welding experience (essential)
Solid skills in fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs
Experience with packing / palletising equipment (highly regarded)
Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks
A proactive, safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
Team player with good communication skills
