About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll play a critical role in minimising downtime, improving reliability, and supporting smooth production operations across the plant.

This is a hands-on role suitable for someone who thrives in a busy environment, takes ownership, and enjoys both reactive and preventative maintenance work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out preventative and routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment

  • Diagnosing faults and performing breakdown repairs quickly and effectively

  • Supporting installation of new machinery and upgrades

  • Maintaining packing and palletising equipment

  • Managing spare parts and maintenance records

  • Working closely with production to keep lines running efficiently

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ensuring all work meets WHS and Australian safety standards

What You’ll Bring

  • Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (or relevant engineering fabrication trade)

  • Strong experience in maintenance within manufacturing/FMCG

  • TIG/MIG welding experience (essential)

  • Solid skills in fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs

  • Experience with packing / palletising equipment (highly regarded)

  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks

  • A proactive, safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Team player with good communication skills
