3-6 Month Contract | Day Shift | $45-$55 per Hour + Super (Negotiable Based on Experience)

Zoom Recruitment is partnering with a leading global agricultural company that delivers innovative crop protection, seed technologies, and sustainable farming solutions. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to support environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and best-practice environmental management at their manufacturing facility in Laverton.

This role will work closely with site leadership, operational teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, license conditions, and company sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental testing, sampling, monitoring, and site inspections.
  • Coordinate environmental contractors and consultants, ensuring compliance with HSE and permit requirements.
  • Support environmental compliance with EPA licences, waste classification requirements, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Assist with environmental incident investigations, reporting, and Management of Change processes.
  • Maintain environmental data, compliance records, and sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Provide coaching and support to operational teams on environmental systems and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives relating to environmental performance and sustainability.
  • Participate in HSE audits and maintain site environmental audit programs.
  • Represent the business at relevant environmental and community forums when required.

About You

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within chemical manufacturing, construction, engineering, or a similar industrial environment.
  • Experience working with environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of Australian environmental regulations relevant to manufacturing environments.

Desirable

  • Auditing experience.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Lean/Six Sigma, and risk management systems.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams and contractors.
