We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering division. The role offers a strong opportunity for growth and to expand knowledge of all building services.

We specialise in complex healthcare, health sciences and tertiary education work where the designs are services driven.

About you 

You will be responsible for the design and engineering of low voltage electrical systems for building projects, but also have opportunity to collaborate and learn all disciplines relating to building services engineering. It is expected you will have prior knowledge of design of lighting, power distribution, communications, security, and other electrical systems within a building. You’ll be able to work autonomously, with the supervision of the team lead as needed, and will be responsible for the design of projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical Engineering Lead on project works

  2. Preparation of electrical engineering calculations and drawings

  3. Participating in project meetings and coordinating with other disciplines

  4. Preparation of project specifications and reports

  5. Performing site visits and inspections as required

  6. Keeping up-to-date with new technologies and industry developments

  7. Assisting with mentoring and training of junior team members

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  2. 5+ years of experience in local building services electrical engineering

  3. Strong understanding of electrical design principles and codes, particularly:

    1. AS 3000, AS 3008

    2. AS 1680, AS 1158 & AS 4282

    3. National Construction Code

  4. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux (or other lighting design software), PowerCAD

  5. Strong communication and teamwork skills

  6. Experience in Healthcare work is favourable

  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  8. Passion for sustainability and energy-efficient design.
