We are a leading packaging company with ongoing growth and are looking for a suitably qualified Maintenance Electrician to support our operations and maintenance department within the Afternoon Shift at our Coolaroo site.

Available Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

About the role:

This role will be responsible for providing safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution for various machines and equipment within a manufacturing environment.

Duties include:

• Performing preventive maintenance activities 

• Carrying out emergency / break down electrical maintenance as necessary to support plant operations

• Undertaking fault finding, PLC programming & automation

• Accurately completely maintenance records and other paperwork

• Work collaboratively within the team and across the departments

• In consultation with Production staff, identify equipment and areas requiring attention.

• Assess and arrange job requirements

• Daily feedback and reports to Lead on progress and work completed

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Electrical Trade Certification / Equivalent License

• Current Electrical Registration to operate in VIC

• Previous experience working within a manufacturing / industrial environment (highly desirable)

• Understanding of Australian workplace health and safety processes

• Strong attention to detail

• Be a team player who enjoys collaborating with other departments and working together to achieve best practice outcomes
