Citadines on Bourke Melbourne, managed by The Ascott Limited, now seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join as a Maintenance Officer.  The successful candidate will be part of a tight-knit, supportive team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day maintenance operations across the property to ensure all facilities and equipment are functioning at the highest standard.

  • Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance (daily, weekly, and monthly) on property facilities including pools, gymnasiums, firefighting installations, and safety systems.

  • Responding promptly to breakdowns, urgent repairs, and assisting colleagues across departments or properties when additional support is required.

  • Liaising with the Engineering Manager, Heads of Department, and Guest Services to address maintenance needs, uphold brand standards, and meet reporting and compliance requirements.

  • Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards, Ascott policies, and relevant legislative regulations.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Strong practical skills in general maintenance, with experience across multiple trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, or HVAC).

  • A solid understanding of safety standards, firefighting equipment maintenance, and workplace health and safety regulations.

  • The ability to work collaboratively with other departments and communicate effectively with both staff and guests.

  • Flexibility with working hours to meet business demands, including availability for after-hours emergencies if required.

  • A clear understanding of property fire and emergency procedures, with the ability to respond calmly and effectively during incidents.

In return, you will receive:

  • An Extra 3 Days Off just for life’s big moments – Our Immediate Family Event Leave or Cultural leave is yours on top of your annual leave!

  • Celebrate Your Loyalty – $500 at 5 years, $1,000 at 10 years (and it keeps going!)

  • Global Travel Perks – Enjoy up to 50% off at 900+ hotels worldwide

  • Wellbeing Support – 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Grow With Us – Leadership training and a pathway to become a future GM
