At Daniel’s Donuts, we make a lot of donuts… like, a seriously impressive amount. And behind every perfectly glazed, jam-filled masterpiece is a factory that needs to run like clockwork. 

That’s where you come in. 

As our Lead Maintenance Technician, you’ll be the go-to person keeping our machines humming, our lines moving, and our downtime minimal. This is a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up role for someone who loves fixing things, improving systems, and keeping production flowing. 

🔧 What you’ll be doing 

Keeping things running (literally) 

• Jump in and deliver preventative and reactive maintenance across all plant and equipment 

• Diagnose faults quickly and get things back up and running fast 

• Drive equipment reliability and uptime (because donuts wait for no one) 

• Maintain clear records in our CMMS system 

• Support installation, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment 

Safety & food standards (non-negotiable) 

• Work in line with OHS, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards 

• Support audits, inspections, and risk assessments 

• Partner with Safety & Quality teams to keep everything compliant and safe 

Making things better 

• Spot opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance 

• Troubleshoot recurring issues using root cause analysis 

• Support continuous improvement projects and small capital works 

• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Procurement to solve real problems 

Contractors & parts 

• Coordinate external contractors when needed 

• Ensure all work meets Daniel’s standards (we don’t cut corners) 

• Keep an eye on spare parts and critical inventory 

• Help manage maintenance spend smartly 

🧠 What you bring 

✅ Must-haves 

• Solid hands-on experience in food manufacturing or FMCG 

• Trade qualification (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent experience 

• Strong fault-finding skills across automated equipment 

• Experience with PLCs, automation, and production lines 

• Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environments 

• Experience using CMMS systems 

⭐ Bonus points 

• Knowledge of GMP / food manufacturing compliance 

• Welding or fabrication skills 

• Flexibility to support production outside standard hours when needed
