Vet Nurse – Reservoir Vet Clinic (Part‑Time)

We’re a friendly inner‑north clinic with a supportive team and a weekdays‑only schedule that keeps your weekends free.

About the Clinic

Reservoir Vet Clinic has cared for pets and their families in Melbourne’s north for many years. We are a close‑knit team of 3 veterinarians, 5 veterinary nurses, and a dedicated Practice Manager, based at 226 Spring Street, Reservoir. Our clinic offers small animal medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and preventative care, all delivered with a focus on compassion, teamwork, and client relationships.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Vet Nurse to join on a part‑time basis, working Mondays and Fridays, with the third day preferably a Tuesday (flexible).

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting veterinarians across anaesthesia, surgery, patient care, and nurse consults
  • Providing high‑quality patient care and monitoring before, during, and after procedures
  • Assisting with dentistry, including dental radiography
  • Supporting diagnostics and in‑house pathology
  • Reception and client support, including patient admissions and client communication
  • General nursing duties across a varied small animal caseload
  • Enjoying a weekday‑only roster with no weekends or public holidays
What we’re looking for
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1+ year of clinical veterinary nursing experience
  • Confidence across general nursing duties, including anaesthesia and surgical support
  • A genuine love for animals and the people who care for them
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A positive, team‑first attitude and a great sense of humour
Benefits
  • Real career pathways – deepen nursing skills, explore a speciality area, or grow into leadership
  • Paid parental leave – flexible programmes for primary and secondary carers, plus a return‑to‑work bonus
  • Health and wellbeing support – 24/7 EAP support, mental health first aid network, and fitness benefits
  • Everyday discounts and perks – over 100 discounts on fuel, groceries, hotel stays, entertainment, health insurance, and more
  • Pet benefits – savings on pet essentials and insurance for your own furry companions
  • Connected community – access to a network of over 4,000 vets and nurses across ANZ

In addition to the VetPartners benefits, you’ll enjoy a genuinely supportive and inclusive workplace, flexible part‑time hours, encouragement for continuing education and career development, and a fun team culture.

VetPartners is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.
